Spring Spritz

A strawberry limoncello spritz is the ultimate toast to spring’s arrival! This cocktail has a fruit forward profile with house made strawberry syrup and chilled limoncello.  Topped with crisp prosecco and a splash of sparkling water, it's a light and refreshing seasonal spritz!

Ingredients

frozen strawberries (you could use ice instead)

splash of sparkling water

3 oz prosecco

1.5 oz limoncello

1/2 oz. strawberry syrup 

lemon to garnish

Directions

  1. Fill a chilled glass with frozen strawberries or ice.

  2. Add in prosecco, limoncello, and strawberry syrup.

  3. Top with sparkling water.

  4. Stir.

  5. Garnish with lemon and strawberry.

Quick Strawberry Syrup

For a quick and easy house made strawberry syrup combine 1 cup sliced strawberries (fresh or frozen), 2 tbsp sugar, and 1 tsp lemon juice in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, stir, and continue heating in 30-second intervals until the berries are soft and a syrup forms. Mash the berries and strain mixture through a sieve to remove pulp.  Store in an airtight container.
