Snow Dough

We were asked to come up with a kids’ craft for a snow day.  Challenge accepted.  Using two common household ingredients we whipped up a silky sort of play dough.  Snow dough can be used to mold figures, cookie-cut shapes or simply for sensory play!

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup lotion

1 cup of cornstarch (you may need a dusting more depending on your lotion)

glitter (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine lotion and cornstarch and initially mix with a spoon.

  2. Once incorporated, use your hands (or have the kiddos use their’s) and knead the mixture until a silky dough forms

  3. You may need to add a little more cornstarch depending on your lotion.  The dough should not be sticky.

  4. We added edible glitter for a little shimmer but this is totally optional!

  5. Store your snow dough in an airtight container.

Have so much fun!
