A CULINARY CLOUD, WHIPPED TO PERFECTION

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ( 4 sticks ) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature

  • 3/4 cup honey ( adjust to taste )

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (adjust to taste )

  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract ( optional, adds warmth )

  • Healthy pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Soften the butter: Ensure the butter is at room temperature but not melted. This is crucial for achieving a light, whipped texture.

  2. Whip the butter: Place the softened butter into the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Beat the butter on medium-high speed for 3-4 minutes until it is light, smooth, and fluffy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. This step aerates the butter, making it spreadable.

  3. Add flavorings: With the mixer on low or medium speed, gradually add the honey, cinnamon and salt.

  4. Whip until combined: Increase the mixer speed to medium-high and continue to beat for another 4-5 minutes, until all ingredients are fully incorporated, and the mixture is smooth, creamy, and light in color. Scrape down the sides of the bowl periodically to ensure even mixing.

  5. Taste and adjust: Sample the butter and add more cinnamon or honey if desired.

  6. Serve and store: Transfer the whipped honey cinnamon butter to a serving dish or an airtight container. Serve immediately with warm rolls, toast, pancakes, or waffles. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

  7. Bring to room temperature before serving: If refrigerated, let the butter sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes to soften for easier spreading.
